Don't try to work with animals, heres our Purdey who loves Wotsits and is a right pain, worse than the dog when we have these crisps.

I nipped up to Breedon on the Hill today, i was going to photograph the church but my memory card was full, and the weather had changed slightly when i got there. I ended up only taking this shot, but ive now deleted my cards and put them in my bag.

Its my daughter Sarah's Birthday today, my mum and dad invited us round for dinner and i took a few photos of Sarah and her cards etc.

I didn't even try for the "Tree Rat" this week! then i used Picassa to make this collage and it didnt turn out to bad for a first go and i didn't even edit the photos.

I ran out of time to take a photo during decent light, so i decided to "fire up" the Chimenia and took some shots in the cold. I thought i would have problems with my camera and the cold, but i had left it in the boot of my car so it was about the right tempreature as not to steam up.

This Photo seamed to be about the best of the bunch.

I nipped over to the old Willington Power Station this afternoon, which isn't used any more, between snow showers to take this photo from the A5132. Just after it was taken it started to snow quite a bit, and the sky went black.

Here's another indoor shot i took this afternoon, trying to get the squirrel. Our "Old Lad", Whiskey was gazing out of the window with me looking for the "tree rat" as i'll call him/her from now on. i think hes getting used to the camera now as normally he runs off when you point it at him.

Back at my mum and dad's for dinner, armed with camera, charged batteries, formatted memory card and then start waiting for the lesser spotted squirrel to show. Well you must know by now every time i take the camera he/she doesn't show, and today is no exception. I think i'm going to have to shoot one and stick it in their garden lol.

I took this photo of "Nobby the Gnome" converted to black and white, then made the Gnome pop with colour.

Sorry Carol, but i found Jacks old globe (not as posh as yours), and decided to photograph it. I used a close up filter again, and you can see depth of field really drops off. The one thing about it, it does make a colourful picture though.

I'm getting fed up with taking photos indoors with the lack of equipment, and the horrible weather. This blog is getting a bit of a chore too, roll on better weather. Rant over, here's another photo of the wife's Orchid now three buds have "popped" open, just one more to go.

I took this photo with a macro filter on the end of the lense, and hand held, should of used a tripod, but hey ho.

Stuck inside again with this rubbish weather, so, i deciced to climb onto the bed and photograph the energy saving LED lights in my bedroom.

I'll be better off changing them back to normal lights, as the light from them is poor.

Ive tried quickly to have three whiskey's on my photo, but it was harder than i thought. i could of done with a couple of hours to play but i struggled a bit. I couldn't get his eyes right even with red eye reduction, not that his eyes were red, also he doesn't like his photo being taken.

The start of a new month, and heres the first photo which is of the Xbox 360 Elite.

I tried to take the shot without flash and used a high iso to get a half decent shutter speed, but as you can see theres a bit of grain because of the iso.

I finished work earlier today, and noticed the big fluff clouds. So i went for a drive to Weston on Trent and took this photo looking at Ratcliffe on Soar power station from a railway bridge.

I thought i would add both images as the black and white one does look quit dramatic.

I tried to do a portrait of my son jack, but he didn't want to help, even though i helped him with his home work huh!

So this is what i ended up with, no daylight and only artificial light. i then decided to convert the image to B&W which looked better than my colour shot.

I had a play on the first one to try a soft focus experiment, with the second just a normal macro, hand held.

The weathers horrible again, so inside for photos. I had a look around the house and came back full circle to the pc where i've got my pc speakers next to my monitor. I liked the texture and contrasting colours of the creative's speakers, so heres a close up.

Tried experimenting this evening, camera, tripod and helper and long shutter speed.

could of really done with a proper mount as the vibration caused out of focus images on roads that had the slightest roughness. So much for low profile tyres and stiff suspension.

I'll try the wifes car next time...............

i had to nip to Asda after work today to get the usual stuff you run out of, when i noticed the pylons around Asda looked fairly interesting so i got the camera out and took this shot, the converted it to black and white. Mind you, it didn't change much from colour!

I remembered this Sunday to one, take camera to mum's house and two take memory card.

Now last Sunday i forgot and the Squirrel appeared and sat on the bird table eating nuts, so remembering the above i had camera ready to photograph him and the little bugger never turned up. I did manage to get this Blue Tit at the bottom of the garden.

It was quite difficult as they do move quite fast.

I've tried to create a "floating bulb", but had problems with editing in Photoshop, just getting it right.

So this is what i've done, it didn't quite come out right to what i wanted and i had had enough!

Edit. I've had a play around with Photoshop artistic styles and came up with a few variations on the light bulb above.

Stayed in today, weather is cold and wet. There should of been a photo of a squirrel today, siting nibbling his nuts at my mum and dads house on their Bird feeder, but forgot the camera doh!

I ended taking photos of flowers in the house and this seamed the best of the "bunch".

I also tried to get some shots of the Sparrows and Black birds on the fence but shooting through double glazing at an angle with twitchy birds was a pain, i gave up.

"Confrontation"

After work i decided to take Whiskey and the camera for a walk, i almost got down to the bottom of Back Lane where Second Chance dog rescue center is, taking photos of birds in the trees, when i noticed our Whiskey wasn't about. I turned around to find him and a cat having a face off! (he normally chases cats)

He had stopped and probably thought i was taking him there!

Below is the photo i took of one of the birds, but not to sure what sort of bird it is, any ideas?
